I have changed to the cingular with itunes firmware (R4517)the other night and really didnt like it much and tried to change back to the R4513 but its keep failing with an error

phone : Critical Error 03
RSD LITE : error erasing subscriber unit Device API Error

bootloader 0A.20

the r4513 and the r4517 softwares are not compatible and will brick your phone if you flash them to one another... they have different bootloaders

If U Wnat To Change The Flash In R4513 To The One In R4517 (or Viceversa) U Must Change The Bootloader. It Is Possible To Downgrade The Bootloader By Using A Simple Program Named Scotty (the Newest, Very Difficult To Find). After That U Must Uptade That Bootloader To The One On R4517 By Using The Same Program. Then, You Can Flash The Phone.

First Of All, I Didnt Try This Method Because Mine Is A R4513 And I Consider It Better Than The Cingular One. So, I Dont Know If Does Work Or Not... Try It If You Dare And At Your Own Risk. I Wont Tell U Where To Find The Programs. The Problem Is That U Have Rconnect Your L7 To The Pc And Without Starting Any Other Program Before, Run Scotty (the Newest, Not The One For V3 And Etc.) That Program Will Downgrade (id Say Upgrade) Your Bootloader From 0a.20 To 08.do. Now, With That Bootloader U Must Restart Your Phome (scotty Does It Automatically). After That, Run The Rsd And Flash Your Phone With The R4513.

By The Way... There Is A Great New Program That Is Supposed To Work With All Firmwares And That Can Be Helpful. It Is Flashbackup 3.0.053. Try It!!!
