Best QWERTY keyboard you ever used?

I'm conflicted on this one...

1. I loved the SK2 keyboard although sometimes, even with my long fingers, it seemed a bit of a reach. Keyboard had a nice rubberized feel and good keypress feedback that let you know a key had been depressed. Backlight kinda sucked and my Blue "Alt" keys were not translucent

2. My 8700 keys feel very cheap and the whole assembly moves around as I use it..BUT..once you get used to making errors and "adjust" to it..it kinda grows on you..especially the AutoText and double-tap period

3. My E61 has large keys but the keypress reeeeallllly gets on my nerves. The keys sink waaay too deep into the device and it's got the weirdest key layout I've ever seen. Not only is the device SLooooooWWWWW...but the Alt, Command and Shift key layout is just BIZARRRRRRRRReeee...

4. My 7290 - Stole my heart. Out of all QWERTY devices I've ever used...I feel the 7290 has the best key layout of all. It's spaced out, greate keypress tactile sensation, good feedback... If I could get an 8700 with the 7290's keyboard, I'd die happy..PDA Wise that is..

What about you????

Agreed: The 7200-series keyboards are by far the best.

I'd also add the 77xx series.

^^ There is a difference between the 7700 and the 7200 series keyboards. The keys on the 7700-series are slightly smaller and closer together. In my book, the 7700 series comes in a close second in my keyboard preference.

sidekick 2 hands down.

I concur with Roc. I do wish it was more like the color sidekick tho, the sk2 keyboards peel after heavy use

Of the QWERTY phones I've used recently, I'd order them as follows (from best to worst)
1. Nokia 9300/9500
2. BB 7250
3. Nokia E61
4. Nokia 6822/6820

not that anyone is gonna find anyone person right or wrong, imo i found the e61/e62 keys too mushy and they werent raised enough.

Well, I agree. Don't much like the E61 keyboard either.

Yes...that was quite good as well. Unfortunately not backlit (not that I need keyboard backlighting), but great nonetheless.

in my opinion it has to be (in this order)

mda
moto a630
bb 7290

Apple iMac, theres no way a mobile will ever compare to a real keyboard, but if you want my opinion the 7520, becasue the phone is a little thicker, it makes it more comfortable to type

being a Nextel user, the 7510 or 7520 for sure!

The one on my 8700g!

7290 for sure, as well as 950 being closely behind.

For a device narrower than the 7290, the best would be the 8700 which blows away the Treo and iPaq keyboards.

I've even written a BlackBerry TOUCHTYPING faq at berryfaq.com... (learning to type on a BlackBerry without looking at the keyboard!)
