2125 won't vibrate

My 2125 stopped vibrating recently. I can see the little vibrate icon in the title bar and when I call the phone the screen changes to show an incoming call, but the phone never vibrates. I've tried switching between different profiles set to ring with vibration, but neither meeting nor silent will vibrate. I've also rebooted/pulled the battery many times without effect.

Eventually it seems like I might have to hard reset/deal with warranty return, but are there any additional troubleshooting steps that might resolve my problem without having to lose all my settings?

have you checked what it says under settings/profiles/menu/edit? There should be no reason why it should have changed by itself but it doesn't hurt to look.

If it is not in the settings then probably the vibrator motor went bad.
