wrong macromedia flash version (W810i)

Anyone got any other ideas how to fix this one? I've been all over the web
trying different "tricks" and still the SEU program says the infamous message.
I've tried the following:
Disable window blinds
installing an older version of flash (from within IE)
set IE as the "default" browser (I use FF)
tried using regsvr32.exe to "register" the proper version of flash (which didn't work anyway).
This isn't an attempt to fix my phone, it works.....but this is just one of those,
"why doesn't it work" thingys that is bugging me.

Did you download the Flash plugin using a non-IE browser? If so, you should re-attempt to install the latest Flash plug-in using IE. I read somewhere that using Firefox, per say, to download the Flash plug-in can cause strange errors with the scipting of the SE Flash program.
