not sure if this is where i should be posting this or not but, here goes anyway

i'm trying to setup a blackberry server where users can download java midlets, ringtones etc. right now my server runs redhat 9 with apache 2.0.
i can't seem to find any info on how to get the blackberry to open the *.jad, *.alx etc files properly. the phones keep trying to open the files as if they were text documents. i want them to download and, install as if you were buying it from say handango, for example. does anyone have any experience doing this kinda stuff? am i barking up the wrong tree posting this on hofo? can anyone point me in the right direction? so far i have found ONE website, that specifically references what i want to do. i have attempted as directed by that site and failed. can anyone help?

forgive me in advance if it's on hofo somewhere.
i haven't had much luck in my searching

IF i remember correctly you can download a free developer app from blackberry.com that will convert your .JAD files to .JARs or something readable from the handheld.
