OK, so I see a 2 Gig mini SD for $40 after rebate and think, "Cool, more tunes for my 2125!" So I get it.

Well, it turned out to be a disaster. The battery drain is really high. If I leave work with the 2125 fully charged at 6PM, by the next morning, the battery is at 60% if I don't talk much the previous evening. If I talk for an hour or so, the battery might be 30% the next morning.

My 1 Gig card back is in the phone now.

Is higher battery consumption what you can expect with a larger memory card?

Hope it's not some other problem that I'm blaming on the card...

you may have inferior card
I don't notice any battery drain problem with MDA and 2GB card

Yeah that dose sound not right. The battery should not drain that much with a SD card in. I would RMA it back and get another one. It should only take a little power not as much as ur talking about.

The old 1 Gig SD card is SanDisk brand.

The new 2 Gig card is Kingston brand. I thought they were pretty good - lifetime warranty and all...

I'm going to try the 1 Gig card for a couple of days and then go back to the 2 Gig card. Maybe something else was going on...

I am running a 8125 and Kingston 2gb card, and there is no extra battery drain. I agree with ejanis "RMA it and get a new one"

just having the card in the slot should cause any drain at all.
unless your phone keeps trying to scan it.

if you have wmp playing in the background and its scanning the card for new media id check into turning that off.

I ordered one as well
the no brand 2GB miniSD is found some bad sector (!!!!!) just after 2 months of use
