Weird A630 e-mail problem

I just got a brand spanking new unlocked A630. I threw in my Cingular SIM, and configured the web/text/mms settings as outlines on Cingular's website (and these forums). That's all working perfectly.

However, I can't get the native e-mail app to work. I followed the configuration instructions on Cingular's website, setup their WAP settings, and my own company's POP3 server. However, when I click on "Create Message" and then "New EMail", it pauses for a second then kicks me back to the Message Center (inbox, outbox, create new, etc.). No error message, no nothing.

Also, when I click on "Email Msgs" it asks "Connect to remote mailbox?" and I say YES, and then boom, same thing, it just kicks me back to the message center.

Any clues?
