So who has tried this and what do you think about it?

Posted by: enochthewalker

I have it on my ppc, but it will not finish set up due to temporary error.

I got it to work by doing a soft reset. This sould be a useful program, but I do not use yahoo's services that much.

Does it sync up your contacts, calendar and notes with the built in WM databases. Or does it have everything self contained in it's own program?

It only syncs up yahoo information, but it also gives you better web access to yahoo sites, if that makes any sense.

It sysncs any Yahoo information that you have (mail, contacts) with whatever you have in the phone. Or at least it did for me.

I know have duplicate contacts and dates. I've also since uninstalled it.

I imagine duplicates would happen if you sync your Yahoo over what you have on the phone already since yahoo won't necessarily know how to match them. But what I do on my Treo (with Intellisync) is blow away all of the handheld data and do a fresh sync so this doesn't happen. From then on it stays in sync.
Only intellisync is buggy and every once in awhile it pukes and duplicates everything, that's why I don't like it.
Either way it sounds like it does something useful. My primary personal calendar, contacts, notes, and taks are all on yahoo.

Just downloaded it. Very nice. It links to your phone calendar (at least mine on the 2125), my tasks, etc. Does not seem like your calendar or tasks need to be on Yahoo for it to work.

Like that it has driving directions too. With Facade, I have the icon on my homepage and can jump right to it.
