Hey guys,

Im new to this forum but not new to forums overall. I made a attempt to read alot of forums and try to find what i'm looking for but I was unsuccessful. My goal is to find a way to put my 500 contacts which are taking about 15mb of my phone memory. (Cingular 8125) I want to be able to open my contacts and it looking at the contacts from my minisd card.

Thanks in advance.

I dont think you can but 15mb for 500 contact is alot of memory.

Yea I know, its alot of contacts with like 3 or 4 contact numbers for each.
Its for where I work so when I'm not in my office, I have everyone's number. There has to be a way though. Most Likely a registry hack to point the contacts folder to another location, in my case the minisd card.

Jayvik, I don't think that can be. What is your available memory? I sync over 1500 contacts, with multiple numbers, home and business addresses and the last 5 notes from my database. It uses only about 3.5mb of phone memory on my k-jam. I would bet it is documents or media that you are syncing and not the contacts. I've been wrong many times in my life so i'm open to hearing more. Let us know what programs you are running and if you are syncing things besides contacts. Have you tried a hard reset to see how much memory is available before a sync, it is usually less than you may think. Then without loading any programs sync your contcts to see what the available memory is. I'd bet it is something else or you did not realize how much memory the cingular customizations and software use before loading anything. If you have in the 25mb range free, after a soft reset you are good. If you have 15mb or so, then you have something else using the memory.

Hey, I'm sorry. I"m sorry because I didn't think to much about this. Its 15mb because many of the contacts had documents in them. I removed the documents and now I have no problems. Thank you very much for the prompt replies.

If you need them. That way you still have access but don't load the phone memory up. I'm happy to hear you got it sorted out.
