I am posting this in hopes that someone from a corporate or technical level can help.

I own www.tuneusin.com It is a free ringtone website. We figured out the correct algorythms as well as mime settings for .mp3 ringtones to work correctly with Blackberry 8700 and 7130 devices. We seem to have a random problem with ringtones that only happen on the 8700c.

I would love to discuss the problem with someone on a Cingular corporate or technical level who can test the ringtones.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What would be good, would be someone with Cingular service and a 8700c to download a tone (any tone) from the Cingular web site, and give it to Proaud. He could possibly then check the properties on the tone (using various types of software), and that might help a bit, no?

Is this only for the 8700c on Cingular? Any problems using an unlocked device on Cingular?

If the device is a 8700g, it seems to work. The issue seems to 'really' be with the Cingular 8700c. I think it's to do with the version of the software on the device...

I was able to download tunes and wallpapers from my unlocked 8700c on T-mobile. In fact I have been referring all my BB buddies to download from www.tuneusin.com

I am running v4.1.0.309, platform 2.0.0.133.

I just cant figure out why it only happens with some devices and not others!

I wonder if location and data services have anything to do with it? I would love to get my hands on a Cingular 8700c that is having the problem and run some tests!
