i was wondering if there is any custom rom for smt5600 and if i can load the WM5 on my phone
and what all new stuff i can do on this phone please let me know

There is no official rom for the SMT 5600, but there have been beta WM5 roms roaming around, but you do lose a few features when you upgrdae... like no 850mhz which is almost required for Cingular service, but for TMO should be alright, no camera function and no text messaging to name a few. As for what can you do with it... well lots... Portable movie device, game system (emulators) mobile email device and many other uses. Good resources:

Airfagev.com (Good source for freeware software, games and homescreens)
Modaco.com (Good source for info and ROM updates)
MSmobiles.com (freeware)

BTW, ROM updates I mean files needed to flash your phone to WM5... Which I personally do not recommend, as I have tried it... Its slow, buggy and I lose to many features...
