TMobile V3 can't be recognized for USB by windows

I am not sure what is wrong. I have installed MPT and updated to the most current version. I am able to connect via Bluetooth, but not by USB. Windows does not recognize my phone when it is plugged into USB. If I power on the phone with it attached to USB, i get a "Device not recognized, failed to..." bubble and the phone will say "Unable to Charge" in the carrier name area of the screen.

Bluetooth is great for grabbing my pictures, but I want to mod my V3. Any suggestions?

I have also used that BVRP Driver fix utility that is linked to somewhere on howard forums. FYI: this issue is across two phones and several computers, that tells me it has to be a model specific driver issue.

i think it might be your usb cable itself. Ive had that problem before even with new cables. i would grab a second one and see it that works for you.

The cable (standard USB to USB-mini) I have is fine, used it for my external HDD as well as a V220 that I previously modded. But, it is worth a shot, if I can track down another cable.

i wish i could help you, but all i can say is it probably isn't your cable. I remember modding my v3, v620, and v360 and all were a pain to setup. i don't even remember what i did, they all just one day started working. I hated those modding programs so much because they seemed so temperamental. good luck and hopefully someone can give you the right answer.
