SCH-i730 or XV6700 for a texter?

The topic says it all. I do a lot of texting and I know there is much love for the i730, but I find the tiny bubbly keys a burden to type on compared to the XV6700's nice big keyboard. Of course, the i730 seems much more pocketable.

Other than that, the two phones seem absolutely equal in areas I find important.

- They both have Wi-Fi, which is a tremendous feature because I live in the Ev-Do-less sticks, my college campus (where I spend a ton of time) is blanketed in Wi-Fi, and I couldn't afford extra monthly fees for Ev-Do anyway. The ability to whip out a quick Google search or IM someone without even touching my raggedy, slow laptop would be a huge boon, and I understand both models can now easily be made to use Wi-Fi without switching off phone service.

- I could care less about cameras on phones, so the 6700's camera does nothing for me.

- I hear a lot of mention of "PDA first, phone second" with these and that is fine, I do a very, very small amount of calling and one-handed operation isn't an absolute must for me in most situations.

So, onto the parts I know nothing about.

- I do know that both of these phones aren't power-management champions just due to the fact that they're PDA phones. I noticed Verizon doesn't bundle or offer an extended battery for the 6700, is the battery life on the standard model acceptable?

- Do either/both of these phones have vibrate? It seems silly but I have seen zero mention in reviews, and this is absolutely important to me as my phones stay on vibrate 100% of the time (due to constantly going in and out of areas that forbid cell phone ringers, classrooms, libraries, my place of work, etc.) No vibrate would be an absolute dealbreaker. A poor, easily-missed vibrate would be almost as bad.

Thanks in advance for your responses. (I'd also love to hear general impressions and things from owners of either/both models, which you chose and why, why you liked the the other one better, and so on.)
