Camera Problem - Pictures are all green and grainy

I'm having an issue with my razr camera. When you switch into camera mode, the display shows the picture as all green and grainy. A day or two ago I power cycled the phone by having the battery out for about 10 minutes. When I turned the phone back on it was working perfectly again, but after taking one photo it went back to being all grainy and green again - So I'm guessing this isn't a hardware problem?
I tried a Monster Pack, but it didn't make a difference.
Any way to fix this?
Thanks.

Has it been disassembled or dropped? I had a v220 that was dropped and the flex cable for the camera was knocked loose out of the connector, which I'm assuming caused almost the identical issues you described.

The unit has been taken apart a few times. You got me thinking, and maybe the connection is just a bit loose. I think I will open it up again and secure it as tightly as possible.
Thanks!

no problem. I have done it myself...tiny parts, you know...

HAH - If I push hard enough with my finger on the point where the camera connects to the button cable part, everything works perfectly. So as soon as I get this attached properly, the phone is as good as new
EDIT: The solution: A little piece of folded paper tucked under the flex cable. It pushes the cable up slightly so that all the connections meet properly.

So does the flex cable affect both the camera and the LCD display brightness?
I dropped my phone (E815) and have been having problems with the display (not lit at all..... half lit..... now working fine, but mini LCD display doesn't dim) and the camera (green screen and grainy like described above).
By dropping it, do you think the flex cable came partially loose and that is why I am having these problems?
Also, how hard is it to get to where the flex cable is located?

A loose, or damaged cable could likely be causing the issues you have described. In my case, resecuring the cable in the correct position fixed it. If you are confident enough, take apart your phone and have a look around. For me it was really a trial an error process - I had the phone taken apart, but turned on and I pushed on different points and experimented until I found the source of the problem.
The camera flex cable is the only cable attached to the camera. So once you have your phone taken apart, it will be easy to identify. I'm sure that you can find some sort of guide to taking your phone apart online - maybe a moto razr guide will suffice as you only really need the general layout of a flip phone.
