You could prob. get the voice part working on Cingular being as its GSM, but I highly doubt the data will work. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The Danger Hiptop will not work on Next Tel nor will next tel sim cards get service in a gsm phone such as the Danger Hiptop 2.

Tmobile
Suncom

i think Fido did/does... but thats Canada... and thats just off the top of my head from memory...

Sidekicks only work on T-Mobile. Hiptops are for the other carriers. 2 things... Nextel uses iDen 800 mhz. It wont work. If you use the sidekick on Cingular, it has to be unlocked and DATA will NOt work. Data is tied to the orignial carrier. No if's, but's, or or's.

when you say data will not work...what exactly does that mean?

the phone relies heavily on data connectivity for the catalogue, applications such as aim, and email. if you dont have data, the phne is esentially a paper weight, cus once it loses battery charge, all the info you entered gets "forgotten"

does anyone know if the hiptop can be used on rogers wireless?
