New to mp3 ringtones, cell phones in general

I read about mp3 ringtones, and I assume that refers to the clips of songs peoples' phones play sometimes when they ring. Not polyphonic tones, but songs with lyrics, etc.
Now, assuming my deduction is correct...does the LG PM325 have mp3 ringtone capabilities? Do I need a memory card?
