I'm looking for a new phone and I'm curious to know what you guys think.

I'm looking at either the HP Pocket PC or one of the newer Blackberries (sp?).

A camera isn't that big of a deal and neither is mp3 playback.

I would say the blackberry 8700c if you do a lot of email. They blackberry data connection and email software is very good and works well.

I would say the HP if u want a all around phone that has GPS in it if you travel alot.

try a nokia e61/2 or a 9300

depends what you want to use it for... you need to give us details... not just: i want a phone... you want email? good keyboard? what?? big? small?

Unless built-in GPS is a deal breaker for you, you may want to check out the Nokia e61 (or wait for Cingular's no-wifi version - e62). You'd have to go through Ebay or an online retailer, though....

I'd say the Blackberry 8700c or the E61.

I've have the 8700c now (had the E61) and both are excellent phones. However, it matters how important email is to you...the email experience on the Blackberry is simply unrivaled by anything else out there because it just works so well. It's also an excellent phone with a decent web-browser. It has a type of interface that is perfect for one handed use other than typing replies to email.

But if you want something that can be a little more powerful for multimedia and such, the E61 wins. Great MP3 player and it has a web-browser that actually renders the page as it should look on a desktop browser (perfect for EDGE areas with an unlimited data plan).

For me, the 8700c wins because I just need a great email/communication tool. Still wish it had a freaking camera...
