Motorola v557, won't power on.

Hey my stepdad has a motorola v557, and when we tried to power it on, the keys lit up but nothing else did. We tried swapping the battery out with another working v557 phone, but that didn't help. He hasn't dropped it and there's no liquid damage or anything like that.

Anyone have a clue what could be wrong with it? I'm going to call cingular's replacement number tomorrow to see if we can get it replaced since it's only 90 or so days old.

he prob broke the ribbon cable for the screen so u can buy new cable or get new phone.

i see em for $10 on ebay.
