i have a cingular branded SLVR. is there a way to back up the defult locked backgrounds and ringtones to the computer so i can delete it on the phone

nobody knows how?

Grab a data cable and a p2k program, then just copy the wallpapers and other things you'd like to backup onto your computer. Then change the attribute that locks it, and delete it.

I use Bitpim. It will back up the entire phone or just one directory and will put all of the files in a nice zip archive for you.

i think Bitpim is only for CDMA phones though, and which p2k software do i use, there are so many versions.

i just downloaded p2k manager just so i can try it but when i connect my phone, p2k manager doesn't detect my phone
