I just upgraded to a VX8300 and am looking for a data sync cable and software to move pics from my phone to my PC. Anyone know who sells this stuff? Thanks

you can get one from verizon (media kit) or for less there are lots of people selling them on ebay. i just got one from ebay, worked great. make sure it is for the 8300 though, connections vary...

The MEK is not that bad a deal right now. Verizon.com has them for $19.99 which is cheaper than buying the stereo ear phones really plus you get the data cable and there's no shipping cost online [depending on where you're at]

I'd just buy a 6100 cable on ebay and shave the center groove down. Less than $7 shipped.

buy the MEK for $20, if you buy the ebay cable, and your new at this, there is a god chance you will be back on here, because the drivers don't work and the PC doesn't connect to the phone.. etc...

with the MEK, when you do it correctly step by step and don't get in a hurry , it works the first time and everytime there after

a lot less hassle, the problems of using a cheap cable are more headache than the money saved and the time lost in frustration

DO NOT plug in the cable until the software tells you to.

plugging in the cable and leting widows search for the drivers, causes most problems
