Keys on LG CU500

I have had the CU500 for a few months now, and I was wondering if anyone else has an issue with its keys. When I'm typing a text or dialing a #, i notice that when I press a key (I mean press it where it makes its little noise like it worked) it doesn't actually work, and I have to go back and press it again. This causes me to mess up my texts all of the time, and I am a good texter. I tried a W810 to make sure, and I can type circles around myself compared to typing with the CU500. Is this just my phone, or are they all like that?

I get this occasionally as well, very frustrating... got 10 days left on my trial and am considering dumping this phone. has too many little bugs that I'm not sure I want to live with. Most phones have a a few bugs/issues here and there but this one has quite a handlful. Am also noticing more and more, RF is not all that great... My wifes SE 525 gets better signal than my cu500.

I've had mine since July 14. No issues with the keypad so far.

I get this occasionally. I actually just had it happen a few minutes ago when dialing a number. I typed the first three digits and it didn't register on the phone. I was looking at the phone while I dialed so I noticed it immediately. It gets more frustrating when you're texting and you noticed seven words back that it didn't get a word right.

I am finding more and more that it isn't the physical press of the key that is bad, but actually the speed at which you type that may be the culprit. Even though this phone's UI is very fast, typing quickly (especially the same key) seems to cause the problem. If I slow down my usually very fast texting, the phone doesn't seem to have any problems. Anyone?

Maybe those that don't have problems with the keypad are the ones that aren't typing like their life depends on it? lol

Wirelessly posted (LG-CU500 Obigo/WAP2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

Sometimes i have that problem too. I do tent to text fast though so maybe thats the problem like the last poster said.
