Sync Cingular 2125 via bluetooth BlueSoleil

I have a Cingular 2125 that I'm trying to setup activesync over bluetooth. I bought a BlueSoleil USB adapter. I can get the serial connection working, but I cannot get the information sharing working. I am using the software that came with the USB adapter. Does windows come with software that will work or do I need to download another app?

Anyone know how to make this work?

using just the BT dongle would've fine enough. I never used the program because it would mess up my network drivers. Don't know how. Anyways, I find it better to connect when you initiate the connection from the cell phone. Set the pc to be discoverable. For some reason, I find that to be the better way around all that. I hope you find this useful.

Yeah, I think with the 8125, I deleted the partnership with activesync and ran through the wizard via bluetooth, paired it then is seemed to work, I may have tried a few times. There is step by step in the PDA forums from some months ago.

Does windows have bluetooth support built in? I uninstalled the BlueSoleil program and drivers and tried to reload it without the disk. Windows couldnt find drivers so I loaded the ones from the cd that came with the dongle. How do I setup the comp to be discoverable? I'm running XP Pro SP2 with latest updates.

My Active Sync only works on COM4. Maybe you should try ALL ports by clicking FILE, then CONNECTION SETTINGS. on your PC Active Sync.

Click the Bluetooth settings on your PC, and make sure that your PHONE is on Bluetooth discoverable setting.

Also try to make sure OBEX is checked, and BEAM is ON, << might not matter, but just incase.

Where are the bluetooth setting in XP? I looked in the control panel
My phone is set to discoverable.
What is OBEX. I just turned that on, on my phone.

Try Googling bluetooth activesync

Windows does not automatically load drivers for the dongle. I tried it on another machine. Same thing. I am updating the 2nd machine to see if it makes a difference.
Edit: I may have plug n' play off in the bios. I'm waiting on a BF2 patch to download so I'll restart in 20 min.

Load the driver cd again, if you have one.

Now I cannot get the driver to install correctly. http://img336.imageshack.us/img336/9718/errorqx2.jpg
Edit: That is pulling the drivers from the cd that came with the dongle on a computer I have never used a bt device on. I emailed bluesoleil to send me new drivers.

Try leaving the CD in and plug in the Dongle into usb.. Go to control panel, device manager. And look for usb composite device. It will most likely have a question mark on it (or a ! mark).

Right click and click on UPDATE DRIVERS, make sure it searches the CD to.

Tried that. Everytime I get A service installation section in the INF is invalid
