Hi, I've got an old Alltel Slider I'm trying to get rid of on eBay. However, it's a problem it didn't used to have. I can make calls out on it fine, but I can receive them. The caller just gets a bunch of clicks before it goes to voicemail. The funny thing is, if I'm already on a call when someone calls me, then they show up in call waiting just fine, and I can switch to them and talk normally. For some reason, something is wrong and the network can't find me unless I'm already on it.

Anyway, I took it down to Alltel, and they tried to flash it, but it didn't do anything. My other phone works fine with the same NAM info, and another person has tried using the phone, and had the same trouble, so it is definitely phone-based and not an account problem.

Anyone ever hear of this kind of problem?

Also, I do have a data cable. Is there a way to completely redo the phone (to be honest, I'm not sure the Alltel rep did a good job of flashing it - I'm not sure if it was just an update or if it was a full flash)?
