Unlocked L7 on Cingular - No VM Notices

I had previously posted an issue with my vm management on my Unlocked SLVR L7 as follows:

When I received a voicemail, I called to retrieve it as usual. Then I deleted the vm from the server and two annoying things happened. First, the counter on my phone did not switch back to "0" and the vm message icon did not disappear from the main screen of the phone.

Second, a text message was sent to my phone - apparently attempting to update the vm counter, but coming in as a text message instead. The message had nothing in the body of the message. The "from" address had two characters only. The first character looked like a little bottle, this was follows by the @ sign.

Since I reported this apparently known issue with European L7s on the Cingular vm, the issue has changed. Now when a VM is left, I get no notification at all!!!!

Has anyone seen this behavior? I am pursuing it with Cingular, and I don't know how to do seem editing. I actually tried to look at the section that the modders said was the original issue, but I can't get P2K to recognize my phone on the USB. I'm starting to feel very much at sea.

since you've done no modds, it would appear that cingular has turned off your voice mail notification. you need to call them first to get it working again, then get your modding software working so you can do this modd:
