i just bought the k800 not even paying attention to the fact that it didnt operate on 850mhz. is there any way that i could change the firmware in it so it would change from 900mhz to 850?

yeh i figured i was pretty much beat. i get like no service in my room at my house at all. i went to a cingular kiosk and the guy said my area is primarily 850.. (if not everywhere). im tryin to think of some scheme to get a 790 but im pretty sure im beat lol. i jus dont wanna face the facts.

is it something in the phones hardware that makes it receive that special freq. or is it in the firmware?

its hardware related.

depending on how much shipping is i wouldnt really care. i paid $415 for it, so if u wanna do that and shipping thats fine by me. it came with a case, car charger, data cable, books, headphones
