hey guys, i just finally got bitpim to locate my phone and now I have another problem. I can get data from the phone and onto the computer no problem but when I try to add stuff to the phone like pictures, ringers, or music i always get this error. The error says "Brew packet failed CRC check Please see the help." I got this error when I used the cable directly to the phone to the computer so when I clicked on help and read what it said, it said that I got that error because of possibly a faulty wire or cable. So I moved the cable to a different USB port and still got the same problem.

Now I have bluetooth working so I thought I'd try to send it through bluetooth, I got bitpim working with bluetooth and it finds my phone. But when I try to send images, music or vid I still get that same problem. What should i do? I'm stumped.

Is there a how to? on bitpim? I want to set up mp3s as ringtones. how do i do that?????Please help me or send me a PM with a link

on bitpim, go to ringers section on the left hand side and on the right hand side right click on add. Choose any song you want to use as long as it's an mp3 or wma and select it. Something should come up about converting the file, I just left everything as it was and converted it. One command prompt should appear and you can see the status of the conversion, after it's all done trim the length of the music down enough the ringtone would be able to fit on your phone. I trimmed mine down to 30 seconds, should be enough.

Then press on ok and the song should show up on your righthand on bitpim with the song name. On the top click on the button that says "send phone data". Put a checkmark next to ringtone and click on OK, it'll send the ringtone to your phone then you can select the ringtone on your phone and u should be all set. Pretty simple, i figured it out myself.
