GRRRR Cingular DNS

Hi all,
So everything was cruising using the wap.cingular settings and the 4.2.2.1 DNS fix.
Today I noticed that UMTS would not load pages using the DNS fix but would load them without it. Problem is that GPRS still performs well using the DNS fix.
What gives here? Can cingular block a particular DNS from registering on their UMTS network?
Anyone else in the DC/MD/VA area want to chime in?
