This phones looks pretty nice, since samsung added the all important 850 band. Same dimensions as a slvr, half as thick, plus you get a nicer scree, 1.3mp camera and the nice samsung UI.

looks like a nice thin little phone to pick up unlocked.

The Samsung UI is right up there with Moto UI in that pile of poo. SE or S60 for tops.

Your delerious if you really believe the slow, ugly, ancient Motorola user interface is somehow better than the Samsung GSM UI.

Have any of you actually seen the user interface Samsung is putting into their new line of Ultra Phones? It Adobe-based with Flash themes.

The E335 and X495 were probably the first phones with the 850 band that Samsung delivered to T-Mobile. I think these slider phones might be an issue for people with long fingers, I know it is with the t809 I use right now.

S60 & SE > S40 > Samsung > Moto

well preliminary reviews are saying the trace is great. now how do we unlock it for cingular use?

I bought this phone and will be getting it Thursday.

I got this Universal samsung Permanent unlock thing from this guy on ebay for 1.99.

The discription listed a bunch of Samsung phones, and so I bought it mainly because it said t509. I just figured hey for 1.99 I can try this on the t519.

I email him asking if he needed a IMEI or anything and he said No and that this is a universal code and should work with any Samsung.

I am going to be so happy if it does. If not I will have to resort to using my 30.00 6061 til I can find a unlocking solution.

I will keep you guys updated.
