loaded up opera no problem (my phone has R1B). However I cannot seem to get to any web pages at all. I tried using the same internet account set up for the default browser...no luck. Then I set up a new account ....no luck. I'm on Fido and I tried both the internet.fido.ca and wap.fido.ca paths...no luck.
Not sure what the problem is. Anyone else have this problem?

I still have R1b, and opera is working fine.

You cannot use Opera with a WAP connection, you will have to use an internet account. If you don't have an internet2 or internet3 account with T-Mobile or it's equivilent with another carrier, Opera will not function as a browser for you. If you are using both on your P800 be sure that Opera is configured to use the internet connection and not the WAP connection.

yes, I realize opera will not connect through wap. The fido internet connection is internet@fido.ca, which doesn't work for me. All I can think is that I'm missing something in my settings. Hopefully someone who has been successful with opera and fido will come forth.
