unlocked phone is now somehow locked again?????

i bought a silver v3 razr and the guy said it was unlocked.he traded me alblack razr for it cause he wanted the silver one to use on suncom.he just called and asked if it was the same cause it was locked again.all i did was transfer some files using p2ktools,i did fool around with some settings but i never did any seem edits or flashing.is it possible i relocked it inadvertantly?if so is there a simple way to unlock it again without paying someone on e-bay?
