Agile Messenger, Always On?

I'm new to the MDA and WM 5.0 with Agile Messenger from the Treo 650 and POS with Verichat (aka:Vericrash). Was curious if Agile is able to use an always on mode like Verichat. I'm not really familiar with WM yet, and how the data works. I have the Media Net unlimited plan, do i just stay connected to Edge, and Agile will remain on, hor is there some other way of doing it?

With Verichat, I know u could disconnect from data, by Verichat would remain like in a standby where u could still receive incoming messages.

is there something i'm missing, or can you explain how I should be using Agile with my data.

If you leave Agile Messenger on, it will remain on until you close the program. I'm not sure how it is with Edge, but with WiFi the internet connection is disabled when the phone goes into standby.
