samnsung i320 & exchange activesync

I am having a heck of a time getting exchange activesync to work with my i320...it keeps asking for my pwd...I am using mail.companyname.com
SSL selected
user name
password (I am sure this is right)
domain (without the .com)
I have seen and read a ton of posts across the web on this but i cant seem to get it right.
any help appreciated.

Are you sure you have internet access?
