self timer

hey ppl,
i was wondering about the self timer function of the camera, the specs say that you can use that for group shots. but how do you really use it for group shots? gonna put the phone down somewhere? only thing i can think of is to put on the timer so you dont have to press the button to take the pic.

you just turn on the timer function set it down somewhere,press the shutter button then it'll take the picture after 10 sec.

aaah i see, ok i was jus wondering cos it doesnt seem like the phone would stand up that good on its own
