I just bought an unlocked V3i on ebay and need help getting it setup.

Can anyone please post a quick guide or a link to a guide for getting my unlocked phone ready to go on my cingular network?

I tried searching but couldnt find a step by step guide telling me what I need to do from start to finish? Do I just install the SIM card and start using? Do I need to flash/flex? Should I use a monsterpack?

It doesn't have to be a detailed guide on "how to" just something to get me in the right track. Thanks a ton.

you can just pop in your sim card. then go to cingular.com support section for device support and look up mms and web setup. or you can just flash flex your phone with a cingular monsterpack. there is one right now on www.motox.info go to the forums > v3i section. and look for a forum titled cingular v3i!!! something like that. by ninjaturtle

Im really sorry for all the noob questions, but whats the difference between a regular V3i MP and the Cingular one Ninja posted?

Also, would the MP setup Voicemail(hold button 1) and MMS and all that other stuff that doesn't work off the bat?

I also got an unlocked V3i and I got all the parameters set up thanks to reading the posts around the forum but, one question I wasn't able to figure out is setting the time to automatically adjust from the network. Does this need some sort of code flashed to the phone or is it something that only a Cingular branded phone can do?

the cingular MP adds all the cingular branding on to the phone. and all the voicemail and MMS and browser settings will be setup just like if you walked into a cingular store and bought a V3i from them.

the regular MP is a generic motorola with no branding and no MMS, voicemail or browser settings from any company.

also keep in mind that the cingular MP is for V3i phones with itunes only.
