Problem loading a jar file on I-Mate SP3I

Hi,

I am using fido.ca as my provider.. and I have a package that has Instant Messaging included in it.

The problem is that I am not using a fido branded phone that has the java application for instant messaging.

What I did is..I took another phone which is fido, the phone is a V3 and I transferred the Jar file that contains the instant messaing program to my imate sp3i.

That is where I get a problem. I get a splash screen that says welcome to Fido Instant Messaging and thats where it gets stuck.

I want to know what the problem is ...

A) my imate sp3i?
B) the java manager program on my phone? (I tried a few)
C) my phone os ? I am on WM5 ( a friend of mine is using WM3 and it doesnt work for her neither)
D) the jar file is specific to motorola phones?

I would really like to find a solution to this problem..please point me to the right direction!
