n90 Software

Hi, I would like to know if I really need to install the Nokia n90 software before I could upload and transfer some files to the phone. I own a Nokia n80 and all I have to do is just connect the USB cable to the PC and then to my phone and I can directly transfer files without installing anything at all! I wanted to transfer tones, themes and applications to the n90. Please help.

Are you running Nokia PC Suite?
