Anyone sold a v3i yet?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I don't think anyone in my store has sold one yet and I haven't had anyone even ask about them!! In fact before the phone came out I had people asking about the phone all the time but now I don't even see anyone touching it!

What's everyone elses experience?

ive sold three to some clueless asian gentlemen who decided that they wanted a cingular branded device

Posted by: SingularSerf

Yes, we just got them Thurs, no live ones out yet but we have sold 2. I sold out one to a rich kid worried about looking cool, he did not want a case so everyone could see what he was carrying. Dropped it twice on my desk.

"Nice phone, you want case to keep it nice?"
"No, I want to show it off!" (BAM it hits the desk)
"You sure you don't want a case to keep it nice?"
"No, I'll be alright." (slip, juggle, juggle, BAM it hits the desk)
"I'll take that case."

I sold a V3i to a guy yesterday. This guy bought everything from me. H700, Aircard, and v3i. He was stoked when I told him you could wire it to your home stereo and or car with the appropriate adapters.....Has anyone had any returns with and defects or problems?

Id love to buy one...but Im short on cash. I could sell the current razr I have, but...no...not right now.

I had a guy about 3 weeks ago come in and want to fight me because I didn't know when the phone was coming out

No, for the same price I push toward the 8125 for the same price, besides I get more comision by selling them a data package along with the phone.

We got them in last week and we haven't sold any yet.

Honestly in good faith I find it very hard to sell them since Cingular is royally ripping people off with that phone. The phone is old news yet we charge a premium for it. You can buy an unlocked one online for about $200. The cingular firmware is out there and you could reflash it if you want.

$450 for it outright? Geez, that is over twice as much as they go for online.

Northeast region.

But whether it's $414 or $450, it's still a ripoff.

I agree, but people are still stupid enough to pay for it, even the regular V3 people are still paying $149 at my store for it. it comes witha $50 MIR but still.

Thats true, everyone has them now.

I have sold one, but it was half off for an employee of some company, I cant remember which one.

Did you guys know that if you work for TYCO then you get 60 percent off the retail price of the phone? Insane.

I had to exchange one. Whenever you place a call and activate the speakerphone BEFORE the call connects (while it rings) there will be a staticky echo ring. very odd...

Not only am I not going to recommend it, I am going to note accounts when someone buys one against my advice. 80% of my headaches have an M stamped on them.

I personally like the cu500 much better. I used the v3i and can't stand it

Had one guy come in who got the v3i off the internet and had jammed his sim in upside down and he needed me to get it out because he was scared he was going to break the phone.

I would have had him sign all sorts of waivers and told him if I broke his phone I wouldn't have been responsible

Now are we all talking corporate v3i sales here? Agents around my area have been selling them for months, defects and all. Which can certainly hurt a phones reputation.

I was mostly referring to corp stores since our pricing should all be about the same.

the RAZR's aren't to popular around these parts if u know what i mean.

i had a v3i that i bought from someone in europe i used it for less than 3 days less than one hour of talk time and then the phone was giving problems also it was unlocked and unbranded. so it didnt have itunes it had its own mp3 player provided by motorola anyways its java system was giving problems so i did a master reset and then it worked but after that i gave up it wasnt what i accepted so anyways i sold it for 220 USD to some random guy who was very interested in this phone. I dont see it having any potential i stiill think the v3 is much better even without the song capacity.

in my area as soon as i get razrs pink black blue or silver they are gone within a day. the phone has been recorded to have many problems in motorola reports but still many people want it because of the look or something.
