See if Young American can reactivate them.

As I understand, the customer's only option might be to contact the rebate center directly. CS cannot reactivate them.

Isn't the expiration date 1 year from date of issue? If so why didn't the consumer use them up. They are excepted everywhere Visa is accepted.

They expire in 120 days which i think is BS... We called the rebate number and they said call the number on the back of the card... Finally got someone on the line with the credit card and they said there is nothing they can do...

4 months should be plenty of time. Rebate checks also often have a 90 day expiration date. I usually use mine up in a few days, max 1 week.

It's not like the expiration date isn't CLEARLY stated on the front...

I know, me too... This is the third time I have had a customer come in and say this... The only reason I posted about this one because we are talking about over $300... This should never happen, you can use them on almost anything...

how many days past due are the cards?

the cards all expired 08/06, so 11 days...

doesnt matter man. the customer is given 90 days to use them, and its not like the expiration date on them is hidden. Thats enough time for at least 2 bills to come out.

the image I just got into my head was from futurama, when Mom was trying to take over Planet Express. Her son was confused by "yes" and "no" and voted for Pat Richardson.

If a store has a mail-in rebate, I would guess those checks expire, just as do these cards. Not like gifts cards, just another cash revate form.
