I’ve been using a Palm Pre 2 for a few weeks now. It’s now available on Rogers for $99.99 on a 3 year contract. Here’s my review of it.

I was going to say the Palm Pre 2 is a refresh of the original Palm Pre but in fact the Pre 2 is a SECOND refresh since the Pre Plus is the first refresh.

Qualcomm and AT&T are no longer talking about a deal, they've agreed to one: pending regulatory checks and other closing conditions, the wireless spectrum that was once dedicated to FLO TV will now be transferred into AT&T's ownership in a $1.925 billion deal. Located in the lower 700MHz range, this bit of wireless space is said to cover more than 300 million people nationwide and AT&T expects it to play an important role in its future 4G network roll out and development. All that due diligence housekeeping will take the two companies a little while, with the deal expected to be finalized in the latter half of 2011, but at least we can rest assured that AT&T's serious about not being left behind.

While only LTE-Advanced and WirelessMAN-Advanced make the grade as "real" 4G, the International Telecommunication Union has said that LTE, WiMAX, and other advanced 3G technologies can also bear the label.

One of my favorite phones of the past year has been the Samsung Galaxy S. From the fast processor to the camera to the slim profile to the iPhone copycat interface really enjoy using it. Let’s not forget it’s gorgeous display.

Now imagine Samsung were to put the Galaxy S in a photocopier and enlarge it 75%. Then we’d have the Galaxy Tab. ...

So I'm on the hunt for a new phone again. I've been using the Google Nexus One since May. Don't get me wrong - for the most part, I LOVE my Nexus One. It's been by far my favourite Android phone for multiple reasons. It's usually the phone that gets the newest ROM upgrades both for official ROMS and unofficial ROMS like CyanogenMod. In comparison to the Milestone, it's blazingly fast. It does have a few idiosyncrasies like having a schizophrenic screen once in a while but all in all, it's a great phone. ...

The following information has been released publicly by VZW advanced support so I feel I can share this now:
If you want to use the UML290 on the Mac/Linux/UNIX/other-platforms you can now do so if you have the engineering knowledge or a little know-how:
Quick Notes: Verizon 4G LTE uses the GSM APN authentication method through a GGSN (similar to AT&T) and 3G (1X/EVDO) traditional uses the HA CDMA method. The old CDMA authentication method has been posted years before so I won't repost that.
You WILL NOT GET SUPPORT UNTIL THE OFFICIAL VZACCESS Software comes out on the Mac. ...

Over the years I have really enjoyed using S60 phones. It started with the 3650 followed by the 7610, along the way I’ve owned or used the 6620, 6682, N91, N80, N81, N85, N86, N95, N95 8GB, N96, N97, N97 Mini, 5800XM, E61i, E71, E72, even the N-Gage and N-Gage QD. I’m probably missing a bunch of phones here. Can you name the phones in the background of my picture?

While S60 has been my platform of choice in the past years sadly, I haven’t used S60 as much in 2010.

There are three reasons why I haven’t used S60 much; ...

It sure seems like it will keep the engineers busy making it all work, or trying to make it work!
