Sprint should keep turning on towers, they are doing the public good buy also being pest control. Now we don't have to worry about bird excremental on our cars ruining the paint.

I don't see how they're going to be able to market this plan as "truly" or even "100%" unlimited if they keep their current "unlimited" plan's names as they are. Seems like that would undermine the current "unlimited" plans in that they will now be classified as "limited" or "unlimited with caps" which sounds like an admission that unlimited was never really unlimited at all. Perhaps they could rename their current plans truly limited.

Any word on family plan offerings?

When doing that Sprint's Simply Everything plan is $110 (for smartphones) compared to Tmo's new unlimited plan at $90.

That's why I always the term "semi-unlimited" for such situation.
Yes, you can still use data after the quota with much slower speed, yet you can't sue because you still can use it.

No, because we are right that you have unlimited data in the sense that you don't pay any overage fees, and you can technically use the data as much a you like. We clearly tell the customer that it's unlimited on the tmobile network, and how much high speed they would get. We never advertised that we offered unlimited-high speed data.

Unlimited is a marketing term. It all has a limit, there is a theoretical limit on the bandwidth, and only so much time in a month.

If I have a water hose with 3/4" pipe feeding it, and I leave it outside and say you can use it whenever you want for $30/month, I could call that "unlimited water". If you accept that that's unlimited, then let's say I replace the pipe with 1/4" instead, but you can still use it as often as you want. Is that somehow less "unlimited"?

There are no limits on how often you use it. There are always limits on how much data you can use. Even if they ran fiber to your mobile phone, and had a guy follow you around winding and unwinding a spool of it, there is a limit to how much data you could use.

The advantage Sprint has over T-mo is the ability to roam on Verizon. Life is too busy. Just give me unlimited. Sprint and T-Mo are on to something. T-Mo just needs to fix their minutes allowances or add any mobile.

The thing is, most people dont go over 2gigs on verizon, so they wouldnt care. Sad but true, thats why verizon can get away with taking away unlimited data, because they will be locked in or brainwash people they wont use 2gigs. And people wont care since their usage is low. And people are still switching to verizon.

The problem eventually I see for verizon, is that people will go over 2GB if its split between 5-10 lines, like they are promoting their new plans. 2GB on one phone ok...2GB on up to 10 data device....well then you will overages.

And don't forget, Verizon shut off old plans to new subscribers.

really thinking about switching from y cheap SERO sprint plan....im waiting for sprint LTE but im not sure itll make it to my area....does any one know if this is for prepaid tmobile or just on contract? also didnt tmobile upgrade all the towers to 42megs down?

very true!!!yes they have very good network tho i think VZ voice is dull compare to sprint and GSM prob cuz they use 850 for voice?....

VZ is raping ppl of their money...i even tell my friends and family but they dont listen? ...

It has only been announced for contract.

No, T-Mobile has a lot of areas that are still 2G only. Check the coverage maps before switching.

That's very doubtful. You will likely have to pay the ETF on your own.
