My parents could really use this at their house. Theoretically they're at a 21mbps/42mbps crossover point on the network, but in a very topographically challenging area. The Sphere might allow them to finally reach the 1mbps barrier in an area that is unlikely to see Long Term Evolution rolled out for many many many years (if ever).

Could use it since Rogers signal is almost unusable in my area.

I could SO use this. Tonight is a perfect example of this.

Bell DSL is out for me the next couple of days, so I'm tethering.

I get 0 bars inside my house. Outside, I get 3 bars.

My phone is currently attached to an DC/AC convertor, sitting on the dash of my wife's car so I
can get signal enough to tether.

This would be great to try! Has anyone tested it out yet? Does it do what it says it does? (skepticism) Looking it up on google as we speak!

Making do with a non-public IP address on 3G/4G

I figure the Verizon forum is the best place to ask this as there are a lot of people using their unlimited 4G SIMs for regular internet access.
