Blackberry 10 launching January 30th

Can't wait to see what they put out.

I wonder how much will be the introductory prices on those devices. I sure hope not that they exceed 500+ mark.

I see RIM being middle of the pack and their direct competition being WP8. They are a bit to late to the game. While they are releasing this other companies already have been developing newer devices etc.

Here's hoping RIM succeeds.

These are launch devices so they probably won't be cheap. Usually companies bring out their flagships first and then bring out more affordable devices later.

In all honesty, I think they waited much too long to launch their BB10 devices. All these android powerhouses being released, its not going to surprise me in the least bit if the hardware is outdated.

However, i'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now until we see some specifications on paper. I cant wait to test one out though when they're launched!

If various rumours are to be believed, the L and N series phones being launched in January are considered by RIM to be mid-range with a flagship (A series) being launched in March.

Actually these L and N series are to be the flagships devices with mid-range and entry level to follow according to everything I have read.

Rumours would go both ways. Either way, I wouldn't expect it to be as cheap as the Nexus 4.

I wouldn't expect that either, but then it's not being made by LG who don't exactly have a stellar reputation for QC or OS updates.

Personally i cant wait, this could be that 3rd eco system.

I'm pretty sure I'm going from my current S3 to the new bb the specs sound really good, with bbm video, and the vitural keyboard looks great, plus the camera on it looks amazing. Hopefully this will put rim back in the game. An apple fan boys will stop buying something slightly better (android and bb has had nfc for over a yr now) bb was the first (I'm pretty sure) for muti tasking and apple came out of on iPhone and said they were the 1st...

Certainly BB, Symbian, Windows Mobile had multitasking before the iPhone was even released.

My bad.... Maybe apple didn't officially say they made it, I remember reading on crackberry.com about it a long time ago.... I searched there now and this is all I found... And the article sounds like the consumer made it sound like they were the 1st

Agreed. I still love BlackBerry to the point where I have 3 of them sitting in a drawer that I pull out from time to time. Unfortunately my iPhone just does a better job of doing what I need. Nevertheless I'm excited to see the 10 devices.

I confess. I still have a few Blackberries sitting in a drawer too. They were great devices for their time. I owned several BBs over more than a decade. All the way from the 950 through the 9700.

I am hoping that RIM is successful with BB10.

I still have my old BB 9000 and then my current 9900. But i'll check these out when they get released but i'm not elgible for upgrade till September but I'm hoping they sell well thats for sure.

I have my old iPhone in a drawer. My BlackBerry is my daily phone and can't wait for BB10!

You're wrong! Psion was the first mass produce smartphone; motorola/ibm had a smartphone almost a decade before that ... but Psion/Epoc which became Symbian (S60/S90 beta/UIQ).

Nokia 7650 (Symbian) debuted: 1Q 2002 (Symbian OS v6.1, Series 60 v1.0 UI)
Ericsson R380 (Nokia's Communicator fighter; the first Communicator was NOT a smartphone btw) debuted: 2000.
