• Unlocked iPhone 5's now available at Apple stores in Canada and the US

    *EDIT* you can also get them in store in the 'States now too.

    Just got word that unlocked iPhone 5's are now available in-store at Apple stores in Canada.

    Previously, you had to order them online and wait a few weeks.

    Anyone going to get one?

      I've read that all Verizon iPhone 5s come unlocked. How do these phones differ, other than the price and lack of a contract?

      The contract is probably the biggest difference. The CDMA carriers, sprint and Verizon, both require a contract to buy their versions. Verizon unlocks theirs, likely due to requirements of their frequency allotments. But you are locked into a contract with a carrier then. The other difference is which LTE networks the two versions will work on.

      Yes, its the ATT flavor. That means compatible with their 3G and LTE's network.
