• For $2,500 USD This LV Smartwatch Will Match Your Hideous Bag

If the very existence of the $1,800 USD TAG Heuer Connected makes you angry then you should probably stop reading here.

This week another luxury watchmaker announced a product running Android Wear. What we're looking at above is the Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon which, despite the snarky title of this post, I actually don't have a problem with; I honestly think it's great that there's now a female-friendly smartwatch alternative to the TAG. LV is pitching their smartwatch at rich men as well as women, but I'm not really buying it—someone who wants to wear connected jewellery on their hairy wrist is going to want more manly-man styling, I think.

    Specs? Really? Ok...

42 mm 390 x 390 pixel AMOLED Sapphire glass touch screen
    Snapdragon 2100 Processor
    512 MB RAM / 4 GB storage
Black, brushed or stainless steel case
Interchangeable straps with Louis Vuitton patented system
Water resistant up to 30 meters
Battery life up to 22 hours
    Android Wear 2.0

Three tricks that this LV will put up your sleeve come with the companion app for the phone. It promises to be your concierge for that shopping spree in Paris or Milan, keep you updated on flight info and automagically switch from Google to Weibo services when you enter mainland China. Could that last feature be a hint of the target market for this watch? Not for me to say.

I'll stick with my TAG Heuer Aquaracer.

I don't need to be connected to some hideous piece of trendy crap that will be outdated in a few years.
