• AT&T Introduces New, Larger Data Plans

Starting Sunday, AT&T will be raising the prices and allocated data of smartphone data plans.

The 200MB plan is going to 300MB for $20

The 2GB plan is going to 3GB for $30

    The $45 4GB w/tethering is going to $50 for 5GB

I'm assuming people will be able to keep current data plans, but these look better than the current ones (besides the grandfathered unlimited)

I love the way they're pushing more data like people can appreciate little increments. Personally I like my data unlimited, unrestricted, and a heckuva lot more inexpensive than what this giant (which is still almost as out-of-touch as Bell, their former incarnation) offers.

This is great news. Now lets get Verizon to follow suit.

That's nice of them to offer more choices, but I still think it's too expensive.

This is going to force me to forgo purchasing a windows phone. Oh well to bad the suits think they know what is best to not entice me to a new windows phone now.

Yet they throttle people back before they even hit 2GB? Now AT&T you are strange!

Those aren't better. For the vast majority of people, it's more expensive - plain and simple.

This will just allow them to throttle you sooner for more money. Gotta love Cingular, oops ATTM

I'm still missing the unlimited data plan + Tethering + 2000 minutes talk time for less than $50, simple is the best!

It is not just about the money, capacity concerns probably force them to increase price to buy time while they are building out the network. Though I do not see the price going down.
