I got a question. First, I'm still on AT&T using the AT&T version of Galaxy Note, Gingerbread 2.3.6. If I activated this phone with Straight Talk, will I be able to FOTA ( Firmware Over The Air) when Ice Cream Sandwich.

I am a bit stunned that I am apparently going to be able to put ICS on my old Rogers Galaxy Tab after all. I thought it had simply been abandoned by Samsung like so may other mid-tier Android devices. Pleasant surprise.

Oh you're right! I forgot that my 'original' Galaxy Tab is also known as the Galaxy Tab 7.0. That is quite a surprise.

I think it should still update.

I have a SGS2 i9000M which was originally with Bell but now unlocked by rooting and using Galaxy _S unlock app by Helroz. While I know my device is eligible for an update, please advise me on the following questions.
1- do I have to unroot it and then update to ICS.
2- since I'm not with Bell anymore, can I update it with Kies? ( last time around when I tried updating an S1 using Kies, it got stuck and I'd had to send in to Samsung warranty center to get it fixed.
3- assuming I unroot it and update o ICS, are there software available like Superoneclick to root it again since I heard superoneclick cannot unroot ICS?

Thanks in advance for your help.
