• iOS 6 rumoured to drop Google maps?

BGR has posted up that Apple is looking to sever the cord with Google and it's mapping application. Going in house with iOS 6 and will be supposedly cleaner and faster.

Anything is better then the current version of Google maps I say.
If it's anything close to what you can get on Android it will be a welcome change.

REALLY!? O_O I hope not. Maybe it's cuz I'm still on iOS 4.3.3 but I find Google Maps to be a better application than any of those expensive GPS apps. I hope this isn't true.

Doc upgrade your phone experience and get an Android. Google Maps on Android responds to voice commands to navigate to locations. I had two iPhones and after using and Android phone there is no I'll ever go back. Why trade in my 2012 Ferrari for a 1986 Yugo?

Google Maps just works, really works, and works very well.

I like how Google handles Google Maps. They didn't over-integrate it with the OS. This means as a separate app on Android, they can update it at will, regardless of OS version, carrier permissions, region and so on. Update they do, and almost as often as Google puts out a new Chrome (19 now). It just keeps getting better by the month.
