Always wondered how this worked but anyways, here it goes.... When people are on and use let's say Straight Talk, Net10, Virgin Mobile, Cricket, etc... and use with them Verizon, At&t, Sprints network. Do they get the same benefits as us Verizon, Sprint and At&t customers as in network wise, or since we are Verizon, Sprint and At&t customers, we get first priority on the tower uses before they do? What about roaming....do they get the same benefits on that as well? What I'm trying to figure out is what benefits do those people that use those services (Straight Talk, Net10, Virgin Mobile, Cricket, etc..) get that we actually customers of Verizon, At&t and Sprint don't get besides being cheaper and less expensive? Morning all! I just purchased a samsung galaxy s II w/ my virgin mobile cash balance, but as I have the paylo plan, cannot activate the phone w/ VM. I was looking around and like Ting or the new Zact as it offers the voice plan w/out data but ... doesnt look like I can activate the VM branded phone. Or maybe the SGSII is not supported.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to a voice-only plan that supports this phone? Do I need to unlock/unbrand the phone and then use it elsewhere? I am a total n00b and could use some guidance. Right now I am getting my feet wet trying to figure out how to use the features using wifi for data, which is fine. I would only maybe occasionally use data for gps. I just dont want to carry around 2 phones if I could use the one for my very rare phone call.

"Works with virtually any compatible CDMA phone" is a bunch of malarkey.

Apparently, the test markets for this were initially allowed to unlock Verizon/Sprint iPhones, but not anymore. I don't see how it is even a viable kit anymore since it pretty much lists that you can't use it on anything worthwhile.

My Walmart recently started carrying them, and we thought it was a regular Straight Talk SIM card kit until I noticed the word "CDMA" on it. After reading about it on Walmart.com, I noticed a tidbit that essentially led to me posting a highlighted notice right above the peg that holds them.

Tried to turn on the other day.
Nothing.
Connected charger. Green light comes on.

Then I swapped battery.
All worked fine with another battery.

Is this the way a battery goes dead or ends the life of a battery?

Looking for some help. I picked up the S4 from USC last week and cannot get the Air Gesture feature to work. Everything is turned on in the settings but I have no icon on the top of the screen indicating it is on. Do I need to turn something off the allow it to work? Thanks!

Is there any difference in coverage between T-Mobile SIM and AT&T Sim on Straight Talk?
I'm a trucker so I travel a lot and wondering if I will have same coverage as AT&T Sim with T-Mobile SIM?

I work for Wally World, and a few weeks ago I recall a customer telling me that a Straight Talk rep encouraged her to buy a Net10 SIM card for her AT&T iPhone to be used on Straight Talk. I found that odd, but it wasn't until recently that I figured out that this is essentially a gold mine of info. If you guys didn't know, AT&T-based SIMs for Straight Talk are extremely hard to find at a good price, so this is a good alternative.

Since both T-Mobile and AT&T support HD voice I have a question. If I'm on T-Mobile and use a phone that supports HD voice to call someone on AT&T (that also has an HD voice capable phone) will this technology be used or does it only work when placing calls within the same carrier and not from one carrier to another?

Edit: I would like to correct myself, it appears that ATT will be "rolling out HD voice later this year". Still if anyone has theories or thoughts about this then I would certainly like to hear them out.
