My N8, which previously was very reliable has recently begun hanging up frequently. The symptoms are that the apps still run, the phone does everything except connect to the mobile network. The reception bar is stuck wherever it was when it locked. This used to happen mostly in very fringe areas where I had only about 1 bar of 3G service but recently has begun happening in areas of stronger service. The only way I've found to clear the problem is to power-cycle the phone.

Does anyone else have this problem?

The old S60 program symvpn that worked very well on s60 does NOT work with N8. But it installs and then just does not verify or connect. Perhaps somebody with deeper knowledge found a way.... :)
