So I heard about the new GoPhon plan today lucky for me my Straight Talk plan was about to expire. Sorry I know many won't care but it sucks having a 4G phone and not be able to use its full capabilities. I was on straight talk before and the porting was very easy. After I eventually found my account number.I think they try to hide it so you can't leave. But speeds have been awesome so far.I don't you use much data but I love having it fast when I need it. Here's a speed test I ran earlier.

What AT&T mvno has good coverage in deep buildings and has a Paygo plan that's 10 cents a minute and 10 cents texting with no data and no monthly maitence fee?

I always knew Straight Talk didn't allow streaming, was thinking about going to Net10 but I just found out today they don't allow streaming either. I haven't read thru GoPhone's TOS but for those of you who have, does GoPhone have any issue with streaming? Them getting LTE is pretty awesome and I'm thinking about getting a GoPhone plan, at least until the AIO plans come to my area, all I really do is stream about 20-40 mb of music per day on my long commute to work.

I was previously on postpaid but transferred to GoPhone about two week ago. I no longer could get text alerts from my bank after this.

This morning I called in GoPhone customer service and had LTE provisoned to my phone. I was asked to only provide them the IMEI and SIM#. Now not only am I able to get LTE, but also Visual Voicemail and short code texting are back! Just like when I was on postpaid.

Hadn't heard this was coming. Makes the $50 really attractive, if they keep that around.

Edit: and on actually reading it, I see there will be "iPhone" plans, which aren't as good as the $50 plan.

This has been a problem for me the past couple months. I got a Verizon Jetpack Hotspot for my house a couple months ago so I could get a working wireless connection for any Wi-fi capable device in the house and to test it out, I had configured my Fusion phone to connect to it on a couple occasions. Even though I now don't want the phone to connect to the hotspot since I get enough data to splurge on with my current GoPhone plan, my phone will keep automatically connecting to the hotspot, even when I disable Wi-fi connectivity with the phone. I even tried to erase the password info to the hotspot on my phone to keep it from connecting and it still tries to connect with the phone now prompting me to put in the password for the hotspot, even though I don't want to connect to it. Is there any way for me to prevent the phone from automatically trying to connect to the hotspot?

Is there still anyone on the old Pick Your Plan setups? If so, has you tried to use an LTE phone on it?

I don't have a smart or feature phone, but the most basic phone around, the Samsung a107 (same as my username). It has a mobile web feature that allows me to use the internet for a rate of 1 cent per 5kb. I've stumbled onto it before without trying and couldn't figure it out, and got tired of being inadvertantly charged for it. I changed my web profile setting (or whatever it's called) so that it couldn't connect accidently.

Since then, I've wondered if it could come in handy, but fear that I could log on to a website and it could be so graphics or data intensive that it drains $20 from my balance just for going to the site. How would I know how much data would be used in advance? I've googled how to use mobile web but can't find specific instructions.

Is the mobile web only a small collection of certain sites? Can I go to ANY site using it? Do all websites have a standard AND mobile version? Can someone here help me get started?

I have the Samsung a107 and noticed that whoever I talk to, there's a speech delay when we have a conversation. One person speaks, but the other one doesn't hear it for a second or so and then starts talking, only to hear the other person start talking and then we both stop to wait for the other person to finish, only to discover that the other person is waiting too. It happens ALL the time, whether local or long distance.

Is this something commonly experienced with cell phones in general, or is it an AT&T thing? Or could it be my own phone???

Now that AT&T has launched Aio as a new prepaid brand, are they going to kill off goPhone?

The rate plans seem ok. At least they aren't blocking iPhones from them (in fact they are selling them).

The $55 has a softcap of 2GB and the $70 has a softcap of 7GB. From the report at MacRumors, it is HSPA+ and not LTE and has very limited availability at launch, only in Houston, Orlando, and Tampa.

Houston, Orlando, and Tampa is where they have stores, but it looks like coverage is across AT&T's network. Wonder if you can get phone numbers for other regions.

They also have a Basic plan for $40, which seems to be the same as the other 2 but with a 250MB softcap. And a tablet plan for $15, also with 250MB, it seems like a hard cap.

I see both of them refurbs on ATT web site for less than 50$.
Spec-wise Fusion 2 looks better but camera lucks autofocus. I think both cameras are not good so it's not so important.

Your thought, which one is better for the buck?
Which one can be unlocked easily and is there any cm ROMs for them?

I came across a review list of the top 10 prepaid companies because I was doing some research for my brother and noticed some incorrect things on it. I have to wonder how old it is, or if things have changed since that list was made. It indicates that AT&T's per minute cost is .25 per minute. I have a ATT go phone. If I call someone in Canada, cell phone to cell phone, does the person in Canada have to pay a incoming charge on the phone call? I realize that on my end, I'm just using my minutes. I don't want the person in Canada to pay also for the phone call. I hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance. The people here do a great job helping people out.
